What's the difference between a Debenhams Credit Card and a Debenhams Store Card?

With a Debenhams Credit Card you can pay for goods at over 24 million places around the world, and you collect Reward Points every time you use it. A Debenhams Store Card can only be used in Debenhams stores and at debenhams.com and is an easy and convenient way to pay for all your purchases.

How do I apply for a Debenhams Store Card or Credit Card?

Online application is simple and takes just a few minutes. Once you've applied you'll receive a special voucher in the post to save 10% on your next purchase in store at Debenhams with your Debenhams Card (some departments, products and services excluded). Apply now

How do I become a Debenhams Gold cardholder?

Debenhams Gold Cards are offered as a special reward for our most loyal customers. If you use your Store Card or Credit Card on a regular basis, you could be invited to become a Debenhams Gold cardholder and receive even more benefits, such as 20% discount in all Debenhams cafés and restaurants and free online delivery. When can I start using my Debenhams Card?

Once you have completed your application online, your Debenhams Card will be sent to you within ten working days (subject to approval). If you receive a Debenhams Credit Card, when it arrives, remember to activate your card by calling us on 0871 522 5050. Calls cost 10p per minute plus network extras. Lines open Monday to Sunday 8am to 9pm. Calls may be recorded and monitored for training and security purposes.

Don't forget to sign the back of your card, and you're ready to shop at Debenhams in store or online at debenhams.com. You'll also receive a special voucher to save 10% on your next card purchase in store at Debenhams.

Can I view my Debenhams Card account online?

Yes. You can view your Debenhams Card account online, make payments and contact Customer Services through the account management area of Debenhams Personal Finance. Just make sure you're registered with us first (once you've registered you'll receive your details and password via email within 24 hours).

If you supplied us with your email address when applying for your Debenhams Credit / Store Card then we have already registered you, just use the temporary password we emailed you.

Why does the account management service sign me off after a period of inactivity?

For your security we log you out of the account management area after 10 minutes of inactivity. We do this to protect you from unauthorised access to your account details if your computer is left unattended.

How do I make an enquiry about my account?

Log on to the account management area of the site (under ‘Manage my account') and send a secure email to the Customer Services team, or call the Card Customer Services helpline on 0871 522 5050 (Calls cost 10p per minute plus network extras. Lines are open 8am-8pm Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm Saturday and Sunday. Calls may be recorded and monitored for training and security purposes). You need to register for this service.

Will you change my interest rate?

In the future we may decide to change your interest rate, this may be due to your account performance or perhaps changes to the UK economy.  In these circumstances we will inform you of any changes by post. What should I do if my Debenhams Card is lost, stolen or used fraudulently?

If your Card has been lost or stolen you should report it to us immediately on our Lost and Stolen Card Helpline - 0871 522 5050 (Calls cost 10p per minute plus network extras. Lines are open Monday to Sunday 8am to 9pm. Calls may be recorded and monitored for training and security purposes). We will stop all transactions and will arrange for a replacement card to be sent to you as soon as possible.

What should I do if I receive a suspicious or fraudulent email about my card?

We will never ask for your security or personal details by email. If you receive such an email, follow the steps below:

  • Do not click on any links or open any attachments within the email.
  • Forward your email to Santander Cards, at phishing@santandercards.co.uk
  • Delete the email from your inbox
